Porsche chose the Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin as an opportunity to present its Boxster and prototype electric should somehow anticipate the content they find on the Future of Zuffenhausen models without the traditional internal combustion engine. Equipped with an electric motor placed in a central position and with the choice of two versions, one four-wheel drive and rear wheel drive, the Porsche Boxster and soles with two-wheel drive is capable of providing the driver with an output of 122 horses and a torque of 270 Nm, with performances that saw him step from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.8 seconds and covered a maximum speed of 150 km / h.
Benefits that become more interesting instead for the Boxster and all-wheel drive, which, uniting the combined action of two electric motors located on each axis, comes to providing a power of 244 hp and a torque of 540 Nm, with a 0-100 of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km / h. The autonomy of the electric sports car from Porsche stands at about 170 mph, thanks to the capacity of the lithium battery with 440 cells, voltage of 3.3 V and 20 Ah capacity, fully charged in nine hours.
Porsche has not yet decided if the Boxster and will go into production, but if the tests being carried out on these prototypes will give the desired results it is possible that the German company decides to enter the market with what would be the first electric car in its history.
