Ferrari F150: 2011 for samples

Maranello. Friday, January 28, 2011. 10:07 hours. Here is the Ferrari F150, the fifty-seventh-seater built by Ferrari to join the Formula 1 World Championship. As mentioned a few days ago, the name of the new "red" is a tribute to the first 150 years of Italian unification. The F150 will be the car of redemption, after the great disappointment of last season with Vettel's triumph at the expense of Alonso after the last GP of 2010.

Disappointment still visibly present in the minds of men from Maranello. After removing the cloth (red of course) from the car the two race drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have released a few brief statement, with the Spaniard said he had "many reasons" and said that the 2010 is still a "fantastic year" .

He said, perhaps with a little concern that because of the new rules "We have to change drivers driving style." Surely a champion like him will not have much difficulty. The Brazilian appeared very confident and eager to redeem himself after a dull 2010 "After a difficult year like 2010, there is a great desire to do well and play a good season.

And I'm sure we'll make it. " Visually, the new Prancing Horse car looks quite similar to that of 2010, but there are differences. To illustrate them were Nikolas Tombazis, Aldo Costa and Luca Marmorini, Technical Director, respectively, Chief Designer and Director Motors and Electronics.

To have more influence on innovations were the new Formula 1 regulations, such as the reintroduction of KERS, the rear wing mobile, fixed the front, a growing attention to safety and weight distribution, which from 2011 will not be at the discretion the manufacturer. All this has brought more then a revolution rather than an evolution of the car of 2010.

The F150 also will not be seen today that will attempt to wrest the title of Red Bull, and Vettel, but only a preview. Already today it will begin testing during which the developments will continue, both in aerodynamics and motor, which will bring changes to the car. On March 13 in Bahrain and then the first leg of the World 2011, we will see a different car visually and performance.

To close the presentation ceremony was the Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, who reiterated the immense desire for revenge that drives the whole Maranello (and others) and also talked about the FIA regulations. The Ferrari president in fact did not spare some little dig at federation emphasizing that there is to "work with the FIA to improve the regulations." He added, "It 's amazing that Formula 1 is the only sport where you can not train and is not normal that we should all focus on aerodynamics, because we are not in the aerodynamics or satellites." The Ferrari F150 will come next Feb.

1 in Valencia for the first official tests, first with Alonso first and then on Thursday, with Massa. The Ferrari Challenge is launched.
