Porsche 911 will have all the new KERS

The new Porsche 911-project code 991 - will be equipped with an energy recovery system similar to the KERS F1 (in the logic of operation) in all its engines. This was revealed by insiders in Germany, as reported by colleagues from Autoblog. com. The KERS system will be a Porsche mechanic and electric: the stored energy from the recovery of that dissipated in braking, will not end up in extra batteries, but in a flywheel (this link will find an explanation of the system).

It is this particular design choice is the basis of the main changes in the external dimensions of the car: the new 911 will increase in the pace of almost 10 cm in order to favor the installation of the flywheel between the engine and gearbox. The overall length, thanks to a slight reduction of the shock, will increase by about 7 cm.
