Audi Q3 prepares for Frankfurt

Audi has confirmed the presence of its Q3 on the stage of the Frankfurt Motor Show, scheduled for the fall (the debut, however, will already be at the showcase in Shanghai next April). The compact crossover with the four rings so do not miss the appointment of the house to make himself known to the general public and officially throw down the gauntlet to the direct competitor BWM X1.

As leaked, the new Audi Q3 will be slightly less than 4 meters long and a half, then about 20 less than cmin sister Q5. From the aesthetic point of view of the crossover Audi should take particular design and style trends of the small number of A1, with sinuous lines and streamers. As for the engines, the top link on the adoption of Ingolstadt drive less powerful than the Q5: 4-cylinder petrol and diesel 2-liter capable of delivering from 140 to 200 horses.

Only then should be in range also a hybrid with electric motor. The pull of the new Audi Q3 instead - which takes over the mechanical platform of the Volkswagen Tiguan - will be front and in full. The decision to go the way of downsizing the engines is dictated by the desire to make the car accessible to a wider audience, thanks to the much lower price and that, according to initial estimates, would be around 30 thousand euro.
