The petrol engine is a M35h Infiniti 3.5-liter V6 with 306 hp (225kW) maximum power. It is part of the same family as the 3.7-liter V6 in the M37, but has characteristics of torque that integrate better with the pulling power of the electric motor (270 Nm at 1770 rpm). The latter offers a power of 50 kW (68 hp) and is capable of powering the Infiniti M35h frequently, for long periods and at high speeds.
The maximum power of M35h then stood at 364 hp (268 kW), which allows the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds. The extra-urban cycle fuel consumption stood at 5.7 liters per 100 km (7 liters in the mix), while CO2 emissions are 162 g / km. Direct Response The system can power the Hybrid Infiniti M35h with the only zero emission electric motor up to about 80 km / h, extending the benefits of the hybrid from the slow traffic to suburban locations.
Test in real conditions have shown that in a mixed path, the M35h is capable of operating in electric-only mode for 50% of the time. The energy that would normally be lost when decelerating or braking is used to keep the batteries charged. The Infiniti has M35h technology (VSP Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians, acoustic warning for pedestrians), a first series ever mounted on a hybrid car that sounds a soft sound that varies in tone and volume when the car moves less than 30 km / h to indicate to pedestrians arriving.
Other special features are the hybrid power steering (EPS-NH) and regenerative braking, both developed specifically for the Infiniti M35h in order to maximize its efficiency.
