Kia sales increases global sales

Kia has made 2010 with 2,089,355 vehicles sold in record sales. With a sales increase of 26.5 percent compared to 2009 Kia also underscored its position as one of the fastest growing automotive brands in the world. The largest sales increase was achieved by Kia in the markets of Central and South America, Asia (excluding China and Korea), the Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

There, 2010 a total of 447 994 vehicles were sold, 47.1 percent more than last year. In China, the Kia's sales rose to 354 944 units (+ 38.3%), North America at 410 150 units (+18.5%) and in Korea to 484 512 units (+17.4%). In Europe, increased its brand in 2010 its annual sales by 18.1 percent to 391,755 units.

133 492 of these vehicles were sold in Eastern Europe (+ 49.2%), 258 263 units in West Europe (- 6.6%). 2010 Kia sold on the German market, 36 624 vehicles (-37.9%). The market share rose 0.2 percent to 1.3 percent. The Kia-seller in Germany was 2010, the Cee'd compact car (12 436 units), which places four and five show the Picanto small car (5284) and the Sorento SUV (3569 units).
