Mazda developed in 2012 an electric car

Mazda developed on the basis of type 2, an electric car and plans to launch in spring 2012 in Japan. The developed in-house car is mostly leased out to local government authorities and fleet customers. Mazda is aiming for electric vehicle at fully charged batteries with a range of 200 kilometers. Mazda believes that the internal combustion engine having medium term the largest volume distribution in the automotive industry.

The company is therefore working under the term "Skyactiv" on the optimization of gasoline and diesel engines, manual and automatic transmissions as well as reduced-weight platforms and bodies. (Ampnet / jri)
