Nomebizzarro, this time for the Q7, the concept that MR Car Design engineers have set themselves the goal has been, by their own admission, "Preparing for the Q7 to make customers feel as if floating on a cloud." Unusual idea, if only for the size and mass of the large SUV from Ingolstadt, not by car.
Even after the "treatment" MR, the car measuring 5.10 meters long, and always, on balance, the complaint more than 3 tons. Perhaps, it was referred to the white livery chosen for the color of the car body. But we stop here: for the rest, the Audi Q7 MR developed by sports car design reveals a soul discreetly (without distorting), which makes, once again, intent on following in the footsteps of the Porsche Cayenne.
In fact, the preparation made on the Q7 (SUV on the market since 2005 and in 2009 the subject of a redesign that has accentuated the family feeling with the other models. Audi, and in recent months, already subjected to the attentions of some tuners, including Anderson and Enco) is not too deep, a typical example of soft tuning.
Under the hood, the 4.2-liter turbodiesel V8, 340 hp and 760 Nm of torque has been increased, thanks to the "ubiquitous" remapping the ECU and the equally classic "replace the air filter element with a K & N , to 374 hp and 870 Nm of torque. In other words: an increase of 10%. Nothing shocking, in fact.
Even on an aesthetic level, the MR has chosen not exaggerated drawing. Were sufficient, in fact, the new LED daytime running lights, alloy wheels 22 "and 9.5-channel" MRGT22 fitted with 265/35 tires - 22 and for the cockpit, the only assembly of the wheel of the Audi RS6. You just have to know the price of this "Operation cloud" for the Q7: updating aesthetic to the front requires 6,999 €, the remapping of the ECU 799 €, the air filter K & N 160 euro, the four-inch alloy wheels 22 "cost € 2,599, while the replacement of the steering wheel is made on request.
