The first of these engines will debut in the BMW X1 xDrive28i. The new engine in the X1 xDrive28i delivers a maximum power of 245 horses, with a pair of 35.71 mkg, enabling acceleration from zero to sixty miles per hour in 6.5 seconds. Despite these high performance engine efficiency is not diminished.
We're talking about an average consumption of 7.9 liters per hundred kilometers traveled, while CO2 emissions reach 183 g / km. The BMW X1 xDrive28i, which is fitted with intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive, the new engine combines with a manual gearbox with six speeds, but is an option the eight-speed automatic transmission.
It is hoped that this new technology is available in models like the Z4 or the BMW 5 Series later this year.
