The result is very nice style and gives the car a sporty look emphasized also by the spoiler, positioned above the rear window. Complete the design of the 9-5 wagon, the two thin bars on the roof dedicated to any carrier. The strength of the car that is obviously the trunk is of generous size and well-modulated: in normal conditions, the trunk measures 527 liters, but if you lower the rear seats get 1600 liters, usable on a regular and long-form almost two meters.
There is also another compartment beneath the trunk floor, ideal for storing items in a safe not too bulky. To lock objects like shopping bags or bags were mounted four anchor rings to attach to a specific network. The rich supply of the load floor is completed by a few small storage compartments located in the side by a comfortable 12 V socket, while as optional, may require the waterproof coating and the area below the U-Rail track system that allows the Intelligent division of the trunk.
Finally we point out the useful function of the electric adjustment of the opening of the door, operated by a knob on the console. The range of engines, all turbocharged, four-door sedan is similar to that of three petrol and two turbodiesel units. It starts from the gasoline 1.6-liter supercharged 180 hp, rising to 2.0-liter 220 hp (encouraged to ethanol), while the top of the range is the 2.8-liter turbocharged 300-hp.
The choice of diesel engines is limited to the 2.0-liter common-rail turbo power available in step 160 bhp (TID) and twin-turbocharged 190 hp (TTiD). The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual or an automatic-sequential, and traction may be earlier or in part. The reservations of the new Saab 9-5 wagon will begin immediately after the official presentation of the car at the Geneva Motor Show, with sales in our market are expected later this summer.
