Porsche offers special Model 911 Black Edition

Spring of 2011, Porsche will offer on the basis of 254 kW / 345 hp Carrera with a 3.6-liter engine, the Model 911 Black Special Edition, the coupe and convertible each is available with rear-wheel drive. Decorated in black vehicles are limited to 1911 copies, and cost exactly as much as the basic version: In Germany, the € 85 538 for the Coupe and € 96,843 for the convertible.

Launch is in April 2011. As standard, the 911 Black Edition is painted in black uni, optionally Basalt Black Metallic stands for election. The convertible top is basically made of black fabric. For color accents, the 19-inch 911-Turbo II wheels in two-tone design. The wheels give a view on the brakes with naturally black four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers.

The standard gray scale in the windshield of the 911 Black Edition completes the outer image. Also included in the standard equipment are a sports steering wheel design and a black instrument cluster. The trims on the control panel, switch or lever and air vents contrast however with its aluminum-look finish.

There are also a "Black Edition" lettering on the door-sill guards in stainless steel and a plaque on the lid of the glove compartment with regard to the limited number of items. The Black Edition includes standard features a surround-sound system from Bose 13 speakers (twelve in a convertible), including an active subwoofer and center speaker and a seven-channel digital amplifier with a total capacity of 385 watts.

Coupe and Cabriolet are like all 911 models with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) features. The GPS module is at the 911 Black Edition as standard, such as the universal audio interface in the center console storage compartment. For the advanced design of the Black Edition also include parking assistance, cruise control, auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors and rain sensor.

Sportiness and comfort, the 911 Black Edition, you wish to increase even further, such as the Porsche double-clutch transmission (PDK) and the "Sport Chrono Package Plus. Also available are the optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and as an additional option for the coupe, PASM sports suspension with lowered body by 20 millimeters and a mechanical rear axle differential lock.

To further optimize the braking performance is the optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) ceramic brake discs offered. (Ampnet / jri)
