Suspension from F1 for the new Lamborghini V12

Inspired by the world of Formula 1's newest and sophisticated suspension system adopted by the new V12 supercar, codenamed LP700-4, which Lamborghini door to debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The system, equipped with a spring and damper push rod, has been revised to fit for road use. The new model of the House of Sant'Agata Bolognese also relies on a lightweight aluminum frame and carbon fiber on aluminum double triangle suspension on a carbon-ceramic brakes and a hydraulic steering with three different set-up.

What characterizes the push rod system is the fact that the springs and dampers are not positioned on the frame of the wheels, but internally connected to the body, in a transverse position, opposite the base of the windscreen: the back are positioned laterally near the engine. The push rod and control arms transmitting the energy from the frame of the wheel to spring / damper.

In this way the control of the wheels and shock absorbers are two distinct elements in favor of a greater maneuverability at any speed, even at the highest. It also increases the comfort, given the lower spring rate, without any loss of steering precision. In addition, the touch of a button you can lift the front of 40 mm, to discuss possible unevenness of the road, thanks to the hydraulic lifting system, provided by Öhlins shock absorbers.

For more details, you just have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show in March where he will live this beautiful and long-awaited sports, heir to the Murciélago. Unless there Lamborghini reserve in the meantime some other anticipation.
