Alfa Romeo: top 170,000 units in 2011

While continuing to chase rumors of a possible real or alleged sale of Alfa Romeo to Volkswagen, the House of Alfa enacts il2011 sales target and strategy for the next two years. "For this year - said the CEO Harald Wester - share the goal is to reach 165 to 170,000 cars sold." Given what happened with the 2010 estimates of Juliet, which have been fully met, the parties believe that in 2011 the Lingotto can happen too.

Wester expected that the latest scheme to get to as many as 100,000 units per year, making it the flagship model of the manufacturer, waiting to see the nuovaGiulia, whose marketing is planned for 2012 to coincide roughly with the arrival the SUV. The architecture of Juliet will be the basis for the production of the C-segment cars in the rest of the world.

The return to the U.S. will instead be "between the end of 2012 and early 2013." The chief executive of the trade mark is not unbalanced as to which plant will manufacture the cars destined for the North America: "We aim to be flexible, since it is preferable to have factories from 300-400 thousand units per year rather than one as the industrial center happened in the past decades.
