Toyota Avensis BTCC 2011: English in Tourism correr

Here is the Toyota Avensis for the BTCC, the British Touring Car Championship, which begins April 3 at Brands Hatch. The car, these days, is subject to a series of wind tunnel tests of Mira, in Great Britain. Created under the new regulatory NGTC (Next Generation Touring Car), the Avensis was conducted by GPR Motorsport.

Two teams have already booked for the Avensis NGTC used in the BTCC 2011 season: This is the Team and Team Dynojet Speedworks. Particularly interesting: the race car was tested in the wind tunnel with a model road. Thus, GPR Motorsport engineers have the chance to see the airflow, and decide which will take place as to the large rear wing, in proportion to the aerodynamic work as efficiently as possible.

More technical details (power generated by the 2-liter turbo engine and chassis) will be announced later. What is certain is that - according to the regulations coming into force this year - the Tourism British series promises to be interesting, given that the cars will be equipped with engines with turbo and supercharged Super 2000, as required by the new rules NGTC ( Next Generation Touring Car), designed to be maintained for the next three years.

In broad terms, and accordingly to the Pirtek Racing Vauxhall Astra in 2010, was the first car to be tested under the new rules, the Regulation provides for choice, for the team, to build an engine prepared in accordance with the regulations BTCC 2011 (more than 300 horsepower, turbo overboost and direct injection, electronically controlled opening of the butterflies fly by wire), or to take in gestionele units already prepared by Toca, the body that organizes and administers the BTCC.

The change is Xtrac six-speed and sequential control. The traction can be front or rear. The BTCC will fire 3 April 2011 at Brands Hatch, will be following the races at Donington (17 April) Thruxton (May 1), Oulton Park (June 5), Croft (June 19), Snetterton (August 7) Knockhill (4 September), Rockingham (Sept.

18) Brands Hatch (October 2). Last race of the season, Oct. 16, at Silverstone. Toyota has a certain (and positive) experience in the Tourism British series, as the absolute won three titles in the 80 from Group A Corolla in the hands of Win Percy and Chris Hodgetts. Other victories came in the 90s, with the Carina.
