Renault-Nissan over Volkswagen in 2010

The war of numbers is never ending. Among the world's car giants Volkswagen Renault-Nissan has checked the second. The Franco-Japanese stands for a few tens of thousands of vehicles sold in more than in 2010: 7,276,398 units against 7.14 million (and some change), aggregated by the Volkswagen Group. The Renault-Nissan alliance has therefore increased its sales by 19.6% compared to 2009, expanding the market at 11, 8% and an overall share of 10.3%.

Vehicles sold under the Renault brand were 2,625,796, 4,080,588 Nissan ones. To these are added the 570,014 units sold by Lada (another mark in the group). Renault reported an increase of 14% (thanks to the support of the products Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors), Nissan to 21.5%. In Europe, the Renault group has been consolidated at 7.4% with 1,642,000 vehicles sold and finished in second place among the builders of "passenger car" and the first for light duty vehicles.

Outside the Old Continent is to become the main protagonist Nissan, with China representing its best market, with the absorption of over 1 million vehicles produced and an increase of 35.5% over 2009. But not doing badly either in Europe, where it reached the market share of 3.1% (the best result since 1995) with 555,924 units sold, with Qashqai from pole position with 235,462 copies in circulation (+18% compared 2009).

The Volkswagen Group has improved by 13.5% compared to 2009, mainly due to the expansion obtained in China (1.92 million units sold), India (+181% with 53,300 deliveries over 19 thousand in 2009) and generally in Asia-Pacific region with 2.14 million new deliveries representing a +38.5% since 2009.

Not bad in Europe, where it was around +11%. Of all the marks of the galaxy German Audi won the day with a +15%.
