Spy photo: Mercedes A Class

After much talk, here at last are the first spy photo depicting the next generation Mercedes A-Class. Who cares if it is a 1:4 scale model. Our photographers have managed to capture the shapes of the future of the small house of the star, in what should be its MPV variant. We know from recent (and never denied) rumors that the next generation Mercedes A-Class will not be satisfied out of the market in two variants (3:05 doors), but will create a large and diverse family of models.

Class A Class B it will cover also the model that has never managed to break of all people, even people carrier version, but more sporty. The version pictured here is therefore aimed at families and will allow the 3-door with the task of competing with two "sacred cows" as the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series.

The shapes are very different than the current series and incorporates some features of the Style F800 concept as the other part has already happened with the latest Mercedes. The platform, as stated in the past, will be completely new and abandon the scheme to "sandwich" for a more practical and economical platform.

The engines are 4-cylinder petrol and diesel. From the new chassis, are then developed several models including a small SUV that will be placed in the same market segment for Audi Q3, BMW 1 Series and MINI Countryman. "Mercedes-Benz to offer a wide selection of cars with a high level of comfort, safety and quality that have always characterized the brand," said chairman Dieter Zetsche.

You may also get an entry level 4-seater cabriolet by measures similar to those of the Volkswagen Jetta.
