Audi: More information on TDI biturbo 3.0

The Audi A6 Avant is the first car of the Volkswagen group to use the 3.0 TDI engine with Twin Turbo, and the changing of mono-cylinder turbo, which is in turn brought in combinations of 204 and 245 hp. This new unit is receiving modifications to the intake and earns a variable geometry turbo (the most compact of the two), controlled by an electric actuator.

The two nuts are placed in the V drawn from six cylinders. The 3.0 twin-turbo V6 produces 313 hp and 650 Nm of torque, allowing the A6 and A7 to reach one hundred per hour from a standing start in 5.3 seconds, consuming 6.4 liters of diesel per hundred kilometers and emit 169 grams of CO2 for every thousand feet.

Audi will offer this engine in combination with four-wheel drive and automatic transmission system to eight relations with Start / Stop.
