In the United States has just approved a rule requiring that all vehicles sold in the country since 2013 expose a label that clearly indicates the official energy consumption and emissions of CO2. This will help consumers to understand the model that go to the authorities to register and to begin to investigate possible lanes on highways means less pollutants into the fate of what happens today for cars with more than 2 passengers.
These labels will also help consumers in the purchase stage. This measure, drawn up jointly by the Department of Transportation and EPA, Environmental Protection Agency, thus stipulates that cars, buses and trucks bring back a host of information on the vehicle: the type of fuel which is fed, consumption on the highway or in city driving, the 'battery life and how long it takes to recharge.
If an obligation triggered by the January 1, 2013, labels can be made as early as next year. Important to the visibility that we wanted to give eco, given that the label will contain a sort of vote of 1 to 10 based on the degree of pollution (where 1 is high and where 10 is low, then on to electric cars).
But we think further ahead and we are studying how to introduce mandatory standards for all vehicles sold in the United States, both in terms of fuel consumption and emissions.
