Fall in April sales of the Fiat Group. In Europe, official figures speak of 82,315 new vehicles representing a decrease of 7.8% over the same month last year, when they were 89,277. Even taking into account data from the first quarter, the brand at the Lingotto not show signs of recovery. Indeed, if during the period from January to April of 2010, 415,172 cars were sold, 12 months later we stopped at 346,310, a decrease of 16.6%.
As always, April data will vary depending on individual brand: Fiat fell by 14.8% over one year ago, Lance has a minus 11.9%, while Alfa Romeo continues to talk about is a positive way with a more than 61.7% and 12,650 units registered, making the brand with the highest growth rate in Europe.
By calculating the figures of the first four months, the percentages are even more negative: less than 23.3% for Fiat, Lancia and less than 20.7% to 52.2 for cars of Alfa Romeo. It lowered the sales and market share also goes down, if in April 2010 was 7.6% to 7.3% we are today, still in progress when compared to March was about 6.7%.
