As reported yesterday by auto, motor und sport, Audi has decided to major changes to the programs of its future production of two models: the small A2, already postponed in January 2013 to 2015, has been postponed to 2016 hours. Worse, what happened to the R4, a compact mid-engined sports that many fans were waiting for: the model has been removed from Ingolstadt's future plans.
The R4 should have been born on the basis of Volkswagen BlueSport, two-seater roadster prototype presented at the Detroit Motor Show in 2009. The proposed Wolfsburg however, will not arise any dell'R8 sister. What happened? Simple: the comparison within the Group, Porsche has had the upper hand, and his reasons have prevailed: a model such as the R4 would bother to both the baby to be born on a Boxster BlueSport both-in-part of the same next Boxster generation.
