Cars and market penetration: 453 vetture/1.000 population in the United States, 27 in China and India

The site in Poland Polk has produced an interesting statistic about the so-called "vehicle density", ie the percentage of cars per thousand inhabitants in reference only to the U.S. market, China, India and Russia. It is surprising in particular the value of the United States, calculated in 419 cars per 1,000 inhabitants and less than 453 cars per 1,000 residents recorded in 2011.

This gradual decrease - due to saturation of a mature market - will remain in force until 2015, when the estimated value of 415 will vetture/1.000 population. An entirely different thickness values recorded in emerging markets.
