Ferrari, check the hypothesis of splitting

In the wake of what happened with Industrial Fiat, Ferrari for the leaders of the group could engage in a spin-off company that would see the home of the Prancing Horse separated from the rest of the assets of the Lingotto, but remained under the control of the Agnelli family by Exor holding company controlled 30.4%.

Although yet to be confirmed at the time no body seems to take the possibility of an IPO - that the listing on the regulated market - to finance the operation of final control of Chrysler. The hypothesis would spin-off for Ferrari according to the latest rumors the allocation to shareholders Ferrari Fiat a title, probably as a dividend in the paper.

The operation as planned, however, would reduce the value of the group that would deprive itself of one of his most representative pieces and profitable in economic terms. This might still work if the business of Formula One to grow: in this case, the Agnelli family could have a tighter control on the Ferrari brand, with all the benefits of the case.

To make things more difficult, however, is the interlocking checks and percentages within the group. Unlike Industrial Fiat, Fiat controls Ferrari to 90%, while the remaining 10% is in the hands of Piero Ferrari (Enzo Ferrari's son). The split in other words, this would result in the repurchase of 10% or the signing of an agreement on trade-union nature that remains above the 30% to avoid having to launch a takeover bid (bid) at a later time.
