The car has been engineered from the 599 GTB and produced at Ferrari at the request of American, to celebrate its 45th anniversary as a customer of the Prancing Horse. The Superamerica 45 is characterized by the presence of a hard-top rotary carbon fiber.

The boot lid is completely new and has been designed to accommodate the canopy in the open position. The fins in body color, are integral with the rear fenders and incorporating Voletta. The side view is distinguished by the presence of a dual air intake on the front fender. Also specify the calendar from the chrome grille as well as the windscreen pillars, mirrors and door handles.

The Superamerica 45 has a color exclusive Caribbean Blue, a shade that closely recalls another important vehicle in the collection of Peter Kalikow, the 400 Superamerica convertible in 1961. The circles are colored, in contrast with the races diamond. The roof and other elements made of carbon fiber body - front splitter, side sills and rear diffuser - have a special dark blue in contrast, a design theme derived from the cockpit, in particular from the bridge and the area in which the driver stands also the touch-screen central system infotelematic.
