First car with Škoda logo came 85 years ago

85 years ago went for the first time a Skoda-Hispano Suiza before with the winged arrow as a hood ornament for a customer. The premiere model went on 10 May 1926 to the Czechoslovak president Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. Until 1929, only 100 of the model were built. The Hispano Suiza luxury sedan was the first car with the unmistakable hallmarks of the Czech manufacturer.

The license for the production of the model had the Pilsen Industrial Group in the year 1924 - acquired by the Spanish company Hispano-Suiza - even before the merger with the car factory Laurin & Klement. In the spring of 1925, production was started in May 1926 it was the first car ready.

The design for the leaders in their time recorded coachbuilder Brožík, Jech and later Laurin & Klement responsible. Each Hispano Suiza 25/100 PS was prepared at the request of the customer as a single unit. Thus, each car was unique. Depending on the equipment weighed a copy up to 2700 kilograms.

The vehicle reached a top speed of 140 km / h. Other customers and owners have included the then Prime Minister Antonín Švehla and Industrial and nobles from Czechoslovakia and abroad.
