A study dall'Icdp, an international organization active in research and consulting in the automotive industry, shows that are being reduced on average mileage of the cars on the road in Italy. It will be the price of petrol or increasingly congested traffic, the fact is that each car travels less and less and less road they will travel into the future: from 12,000 km "ground" in 2010 decline progressively until 2015, to 11,000, according to data here they were collected by the Italian Association on Sustainable Mobility rebuilders of Tyres (Airp).
The present and future data were compared with those of other European countries, some surprising results: in France, the forecasts are similar to those of the beautiful country and in Germany, however, the data show an average mileage per car only slightly lower: just over 12,000 km in 2010 to just under that threshold in 2015.
Against the United Kingdom: each car registered here has covered 13,000 km in 2010 and will cover 13,500 in 2015. In addition to the price of fuel are other means of transport to compete with the car, although the latter remains the preferred and most used (90.4% of votes), public transport, scooters and bikes gain ground, over the plane and the train.
Then there is the ever greater than the second car, as the total number of registrations is growing. Interesting then to see how they've changed the transportation of Italians in just 4 years: Based on ISTAT data processed by Airp, in 2007 65.4% of the cases was the car to be used for business trips or holidays against 14.5% of the aircraft.
In 2010, these percentages have changed the car 64% and 17% by air. But the great leap for the 4 wheels to recent events, considering that in 2009, the utilization rate was 65.6%.
