Jaguar C-X75: The hybrid supercar will be with Williams

The arrival on the market of the McLaren MP4-12C, entirely built in Woking, and the launch of AMG Mercedes SLS, gave a shock to the builders of the channel. And for the Jaguar C-X75, supercar presented last October at the Paris Motor Show to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the brand and is intended to fill the void in the field of extreme GT lists absent in Jaguar since 1994 (with production output the XJ220), there will be a hand of Williams.

The Engineering Division of the team founded by Frank Williams, in fact, provide the Jaguars their technical expertise in order to get to the end of 2013 the market debut of the X75-C, we anticipated last fall, which will be the first supercoupé a Jaguar to be fitted, in all likelihood, a hybrid engine: the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder which can be mounted on the Williams F1 since 2013 (view, therefore, the new sporting regulations), coupled to two electric motors: one for the front, the other will act on the rear wheels for maximum speed of 360 km / h, less than three seconds to pass 0-100 km / h and 99 g / km CO2 emissions.

Compared to the aforementioned XJ220, produced from 1992 to 1994 in just 220 copies, and that twenty years ago is the answer to Jaguar Porsche 959 and Ferrari F40, the future C-X75 advertises itself as a focused state of the art of the brand to the most advanced mobility technologies. Namely: a combustion engine, taken verbatim from the car and we'll see Williams in 2013, and two electrical units.

It can be assumed that, in the will of the top Jaguar and Williams, there is an intention to enter as a serious competitor for the Mercedes (with SLS AMG four electric motors) and Ferrari (Cavallino when the hybrid will be on the road, and, even better, list), also in the field of technological development.

On the other hand, production plans announced (probably no more than 250 pieces in total) and the price sheikhs (not yet confirmed exactly, but falls within a range between 700 and 900 thousand pounds, more than € 1 million at current exchange rates) will make it a "piece" by a few lucky fans facoltosissimi.
