The Mercedes S-Class is an icon, a reference model in its category, that is about to undergo yet another metamorphosis in view of the next generation expected in 2013. With this new flagship Mercedes wants to remove from the collective's association with the S-Class sedans to large, giving a different picture.
To this have been foreseen four variants of its bodywork, including a discovery. In fact, next to the saloon with a short wheelbase and long wheelbase, and the inevitable coupe, may also have a variant open charm with the unique mission to fight a noble competitor as the Bentley Continental GTC.
The car should be based on the floor of the coupe, suitably adapted to the needs of self discovery, and with all the protection systems of safety precautions.
