Mitsubishi ASX: LPG reaches the engine

Mitsubishi debuts on ASX unprecedented crossover version powered by LPG, which is characterized by a low environmental impact and cost of ownership. Today is enriched by the provision of petrol and diesel engines available on the SUV of the House of three diamonds, arrived on our market less than a year ago to face competition from Nissan Qashqai, the leader of the compact SUV segment.

The system of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), produced by the Italian BRC and installed at the factory, is coupled to the 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 116 hp. Compared to the petrol version from which the 1.6-liter LPG ASX lost only one horse power, while the maximum torque was scaled from 154 to 151 Nm, a very small change that is imperceptible in everyday driving.

The tank for the LPG was placed under the floor of the load as not to take up valuable space for passengers and their luggage. Its capacity is 50 liters, sufficient to permit a range of about 500 km, in addition to that ensured by the gas tank. The top speed stated by the manufacturer remains unchanged at 183 km / h, while emissions than its gasoline powered counterpart are cut down drastically from a value of 139 g / km of CO2, only 127 g / km.

The excellent result was achieved through the adoption of the GPL is that the adoption of the Stop & Go, which allows the ignition of the car at every stop made during the march, such as long queues or at traffic lights. As for fuel consumption, taking into account that LPG costs about half the gasoline, according to the Japanese manufacturer will save about 450 euroogni 15,000 km route, compared to the petrol version and € 300 compared to diesel-powered.

The Mitsubishi ASX 2WD 1.6 LPG is positioned between the version 1.6-liter petrol (€ 18,950) that is offered at a price lower than 1,500 €, while equipped with the 1.8-liter turbodiesel (€ 21,750) costs € 1,300 more. List prices of LPG ASX therefore stem from a base price of € 20,450 on staging entry level "information" that offers in its standard equipment the manual climate control and Czechs in 16-inch steel.

A step above we find the construction "Invite" is offered at € 22,800, which enriches the former comes with automatic climate control and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels. € 25,000 instead of spending it to buy the top version "Panoramic" which includes among other things the 17-inch wheels, heated leather-covered seats and satellite navigation with touch screen and camera combined with the rear parking sensors .
