New Mercedes S-Class: will also supply?

The electric propulsion may soon conquer segments currently little hit from this type of technology, namely the field of luxury sedans that, like the models less noble and more popular in recent years came on the market, you may see the entry of vehicles powered solely with electricity. One of the flagships of luxury that could soon see the debut of an electric version is the Mercedes S-Class and you can assume by reading the words of the head of research and development of the Stuttgart manufacturer, Thomas Weber, a specific question about a future Class S power is that possibility, explaining that it is not an option to exclude, and that at this moment: "We are considering any request by the market." The news could arrive with the next generation of German sedan, expected to debut on the market in 2013.

Meanwhile, what seems certain is that the new S-Class will offer a plug-in hybrid variant, which joins the S400 Hybrid, the hybrid variant already present in the current range. We will figure out how to respond to the market as the luxury car segment in some of the advantages of electric propulsion, such as lower operating costs, for example, arguments are not taken into account by the wealthy clientele, and could affect more the 'ecological implications due to the lower environmental impact of such models, and of course the image "green" seems to be so fashionable in recent times.
