There's new spy photos of the SLK55 AMG, the sportiest version of the Mercedes-Benz SLK. The images, taken during a series of tests on the track, shows a poorly disguised prototype, then to a very advanced level of development. From the aesthetic point of view, the new generation of German roadster will have even more aggressive lines, highlighted by a slightly longer body, the large front air intakes, alloy wheels AMG marked large, and especially by the four Rear exhaust.
As for the operator, it is clear that under the hood will have to wait an engine worthy of the acronym AMG. The technicians from the German have repeatedly confirmed that it will be an enhanced version of the V8 twin-turbo 5.5-liter Mercedes, but did not want to reveal the power output.
According to reports, finally, the new model will be equipped with a full package of solutions to improve the dynamic capabilities of the car. Among the technical equipment, in fact, they should stand out the 3-stage ESP, the AMG steering system, active suspension, and to make matters worse, the AMG MCT sports transmission.
The official presentation of the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG is expected by the end of the year, but sales should not begin before de 2012.
