Opel Calibra arrive at the beginning of the new 2013?

The Dutch friends of Autoblog. nl came into possession of an internal document that the infamous Opel's Calibra edition, slated for a 2013 start. Since the debut of the insignia rumors about a possible return of the German coupe that made its mark in the hearts of many horse enthusiasts in the '90s, have multiplied.

And now they find a concrete confirmation. The pre-production model, according to a report in the document in question, will start in late 2012. Of course, the coupe shares with the Insignia a good part of the mechanical platform, and solutions in the field of powertrain: the new calibration will therefore be offered with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, a choice given to more powerful variants.

Opel also in the document, also known as an initial forecast target in terms of trade: the goal-now-is to sell 14,000 a year. The style eventually, it will obviously inspired by the shapes of the GTC concept (presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007) and Flextreme GT-E (presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010).
