Porsche: no hybrid for the new 911 variant

The rumor is branded as a mere nonsense, devoid of any foundation. "The system is currently used solely by race-car and at present there is no plan to use it in other contexts. Therefore, the new 911 will be devoid of any KERS hybrid engine. " Porsche as a senior executive has denied the rumors a few weeks ago about a possible massive use of KERS for the future 991, while denying the opportunity to see the introduction of twin-engine versions.

This reluctance does not prevent the German mark to develop new ways of reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Besides the use of new materials, including magnesium, Porsche at home working to refine the next generation of hybrid systems, changing the torque output in order to make it less "predictable" response to the throttle.

The responsible development of the Panamera Hybrid, Michael Steiner, has admitted that the electric motors which offer a real Porsche behavior, including through integration with the PDK. We'll try to make more vigorous and in particular the provision at higher revs.
