The Chevrolet Malibu Concept at the Shanghai Motor Show and New York

At the Shanghai Motor Show 2011 which will be held April 21 to 28 Chevrolet will debut world premiere of the Concept Malibu. This is the eighth generation of the model that will be global in 2012 and sold worldwide. The Chevrolet Malibu Concept will then be among the protagonists of the New York Motor Show, which takes place almost concurrently with that of China, and is preparing to enter the market segment - hard fought - the medium-sized cars.

In the U.S., the Chevrolet Malibu has sold about 200 thousand units in 2010 alone and is a car that came straight into the hearts of Americans as it is produced since 1964. The Chevrolet Malibu Concept has a sporty style, features a long front hood, tail high and forms the roof reminiscent of a coupe.

The headlights are taken from the Camaro and the underbody of the car is used for developing the Epsilon II, the same as the Opel Insignia. Under the hood of the Malibu or there may be a 2.0 turbo with different steps of power or the 2.4 liter 172 horsepower, which will work with the six-speed gearbox.

The outsider could be the 3.0 V6 all-wheel drive. In the future, also known as a hybrid version of Malibu, which has the same system as the Buick LaCrosse and Regal, the eAssist.
