Jaguar XF: confirmed the 2.2 turbodiesel

The new Jaguar XF expected to debut this autumn will be equipped with the 2.2 turbo 4 cylinder, has confirmed in a statement the same English house. This is one of the new sedan that will introduce the British along with the facelift that has been brought, although by many fans and many "purists" of the brand was no lack of concern about the possibility of taking an engine that contained for a model in this category.

This is truly a classic operation of downsizing necessary to contain fuel consumption and emissions, but at the same time considered risky in relation to the aspirations of the car and especially to its impressive size. Doubts dispelled, at least in part, by a bit of evidence that some British journalists were able to make a preview, a test which showed a satisfactory behavior, with an output torque pretty straightforward and full-bodied, able to lead to an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds, posting an average consumption of 4.5 l/100 km and emission of 149 g / km of CO2.

These results with regard to fuel consumption and emissions are definitely on the presence of the Start & Stop system, while the automatic transmission fluid has been shown and "sweet" nell'innesto reports, but which indicates a preference for the use of the engine is not too exaggerated, almost tourist.

The House has not released official data, however, as the values of power and torque of the engine, but some people on the Net off balance, assuming a budget of around 200 bhp and 400 Nm, for example similar to what we saw on some Land Rover models as the Freelander.
