Today, the 10 000 000th Volkswagen engine from Saxony, a 1.4 liter TSI engine with 132 kW, used in Chemnitz from the tape. Since 1988, there are built Volkswagen engines. Starting with the FSI engines all the modern new-generation engines from Volkswagen for the first time in Chemnitz transferred to mass production.
Last year alone, Volkswagen has invested 65 million euros in Chemnitz. For the current year, the investment amount for a further 45 million euros.
