Jaguar XF 2.2 diesel version confirmed

Jaguar confirmed the availability of the 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel for the new XF, awaiting in September with a slight facelift. Journalists Whatcha have in fact been able to drive a prototype of this version, expected to be available to respond to the success of newer models like the new BMW 520d.

This downsizing, feared by the public to the risk of buying a car "under-powered," has been carefully evaluated by Jaguar: thanks to the torque output and the presence of the start-stop system allows the result obtained performance comparable to that of competitors, with an acceleration of 0-100 km / h in 8.5 seconds, with an average consumption of about 4.5 l/100 km and emission of 149 g / km of CO2.
