Volvo C30 Electrical testers of the snows of Sweden

The Volvo C30 Electric conducted winter tests in Sweden to limit temperatures were around -20 degrees Celsius. Volvo's engineers have put a strain on the C30 carbon-neutral because it also must be within the demands imposed by Volvo Cars: "We must ensure that the C30 Electric as expected while driving, parking and charging in a series of conditions different from normal temperature to heat or extreme cold.

The northern Sweden is the ideal place for testing below zero, "said Lennart Stegland, head of Special Vehicles at Volvo. The Volvo C30 has three different cooling systems: the first heating or cooling the passenger compartment, the second performs the same operations on the batteries and the third, water, deals with the electric motor and power electronics.

On all Volvo C30 is an electric heater that is powered by bio-ethanol, which can control the temperature. The driver can adjust the cooling according to your travel needs.
