Alfa Zagato Road TZ3, the American

The famous Milanese coachbuilder Zagato has delivered these days the first Alfa TZ3 Road to the American collector Eric King, a member of the Automobile Museum in Saratoga (NY). The car is the first of nine samples, and represents the continuation of projects over time they have seen working alongside the Alfa Romeo Zagato to create memorable vehicles ranging from RLSS '20s and '30s to the SZ and RZ 80s and 90s.

Although the name is similar in tradition-bound, the TZ3 Road has nothing to do with the TZ3 Corsa technically, the only one awarded the Villa D'Este Design Concept Award at the 2010 edition of the famous competition of elegance. And 'in fact built on the basic mechanics of the Viper and provides the first Alfa "American" history.

The most observant will notice that "hidden" under the modern carbon fiber body are the proportions of the sports stars and stripes, with the long bonnet and the passenger compartment behind. The Zagato design combines modern elements such as windows seamlessly with elements from the past such as drawing circles and the truncated tail of the unforgettable TZ and TZ2, which follows the configuration "Kamm-tail" (K-tail) to reduce the resistance air while maintaining the compact size of the car.

Coming soon is to take place even in specimens No. 2 and 3 of the Road that TZ3 will be, respectively, in Japan and Europe.
