Audi is discussing the comparative spot in the U.S.

The American subsidiary Audi has launched in recent days on several major TV commercials comparison that will probably discuss, as to be targeted are the direct rivals of the house of Ingolstadt on the U.S. market as Mercedes, BMW and Lexus. The campaign, called the Car Carrier, is set in a typical American freeway and starring a motorist driving a BMW 3 Series.

The quiet man traveling on his wagon, in front of him when he notices a car transporter carrying some brand new Audi. Just the vision to transform the driver placed in a new Bruce Willis the best of times, able in a few moments alongside the truck, unfasten the belt, putting on the roof of the 3 Series and get on the roof of the car and then stand out quite a jump and get their hands about the most desirable load articulated vehicle.

So much effort deserves a fair reward, but not so in the spot: the reckless driver will discover that in fact others have said before sitting down at the wheel of the Audi and transported, then finding the driving position occupied at the moment must be content to sit in the passenger seat.

Not satisfied, the protagonist will look for another flying free, but must engage in a speed race with a woman who in turn left their cars for "to attack" at auto transporter full of new Audi. The spots were produced in several versions, one in the cars are transported to the Audi A4, while in another case of some Audi Q5, the message, in both cases, as the voiceover says that he feels at the end, is always the same: "more and more people are leaving BMW, Mercedes and Lexus to switch to Audi as never before." It's a nice challenge to rival brands, which may now respond in kind with other comparative spot, going to feed a "war of marketing that would not even be the first in the history of advertising, especially if you choose to make a campaign clearly citing the names of major competitors in the market and can put a little 'ridicule.

  1. I agree when that when a rival company put a name for other competitors in action then eventually there would be some chaos.
