According to a preview launched today by Sole24Ore, Fiat is considering the possibility of a separate management for Ferrari, compared to the other activities of the automotive group. Il Cavallino, in this scenario, would face a spin-off similar to the one that has recently experienced Fiat Industrial, whose activities were unbundled from those car properly.
Ferrari would still be under the control of Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli of Fiat, with 30% it is the majority shareholder. The news comes only a few days with the statement that Exor has made known his views on the commercial rights of Formula 1. And although it is early to draw conclusions from these two facts apparently isolated from each other, seems clear that in Turin in the pipeline are maneuvers that directly affect their holding company.
If the hypothesis of the spin-off Ferrari were to take shape, each shareholder would be allocated under Ferrari Fiat. Separate Ferrari Fiat Lingotto reduce the value of a view of the marriage with Chrysler, most recently as necessarily rough it was his exit, Marchionne has quantified the value of € 5 billion in Maranello.
