A few days after the refinancing of debt with the governments of the United States and Canada and reached 46% of Chrysler, Fiat announced that he will exercise an option to purchase the remaining interest of the U.S. Treasury (6%). The price will be based on equity value of Chrysler given within ten working days of notification of exercise of the option, in the absence of agreement, the price is equal to the average of the two closest valuations between the assessments made by investment banks appointed by the parties .
As we had earlier in the week, the Lingotto will control the U.S. House much earlier than expected, reaching to about 52%. To this we may add an additional 1.6% corresponding to the other shares held by the Canadian government and also the occurrence of the third performance under this Agreement Event of 2009, Fiat will be entitled to the last tranche of 5%.
By 2011, then the Italian group holds at least 57% equity interest in Chrysler.
