Nissan is the new provider of taxis in New York

Nissan has been chosen as official supplier of the new taxis in the city of New York since 2013. The project, called "Taxi of Tomorrow" is to use the model NV200 for the next 10 years and is the result of more than two years of work of the Taxi and Limousine Commissions (TLC) of the city plan, which evaluated the proposals of Ford and Turkish Karsan before choosing the Japanese.

The NV200 will be modified according to the specifications and assembled in the Mexican plant in Cuernavaca.
