BMW M3 CRT

BMW has released the first information about the M3 CRT, which stands for Carbon Racing Technology. Based on the M3 sedan, is in fact the variation of the 4-door M3 Coupe GTS. The total weight of the M3 CRT is less than 45 kg compared to the saloon, bringing the total mass of 1580 kg, with the introduction of technology CFRP (on the range then we will find the BMW electric) to the hood, roof and seats and using a new titanium exhaust system.

The M3 CRT, available only in the color Frozen Polar Silver, is recognizable by the double kidney and the air vents are painted black, with small red frame which is also found on the additional aerodynamic front and rear. The interior features leather upholstery in red and special anatomical rear seats, which replace the classical sofa, turning the M3 CRT in a 4 seater.

The engine is the same 4.4-liter V8 led to the M3 and 450 hp GTS, mated to the M-DCT dual-clutch 7-speed: Allows you to touch 100 km / h acceleration in 4.4 seconds (3 tenths of a less than the M3 sedan 420 hp), while the top speed is 290 km / h. The alloy wheels 19 "tires 245/35 front and 265/30 mount rear, while the braking system may rely on 6-piston calipers with discs 378 × 32 mm × 28 mm front and 380 rear.

The structure has been completely revised suspension with fully adjustable coilover setup, and new traction and stability control system DSC. The M3 will be built in only 67 units.
