Volkswagen launches the new Tiguan. According to the company, it already has 12 600 orders only in Germany. The Tiguan has been updated in design and visually moved slightly closer to the Touareg and expanded to include equipment details. For the VW Tiguan now have five new driver assistance systems.
For example, while the "Lane Assist", the car safely in the lane, the drowsiness detection system detects deviations from normal driving behavior and recommends to the driver visually and audibly to take a break. In addition, newly available for all versions: the XDS electronic differential lock which ensures, in particular, in the corners for improved dynamic driving.
For the new Tiguan is also now the "Volkswagen Exclusive" leather to be ordered: seat covers from "Cool Nappa Leather" are provided with black piping. A multi-function sports leather steering wheel with colored stitching is also included. In addition now also 19-inch alloy wheels "Savannah" could be chose.
The Tiguan may be ordered both in two on-road equipment "Trend & Fun" and "Sport & Style" and in two off-line "Track & Field" and "Track & Style."
