Bugatti Galibier will be called Royale

Here is a story that surely tickle the fancy of fans and admirers of the carmaker's simple English. We're talking about the Bugatti and, thanks to a document "off the record" leaked directly from the headquarters, revealed information about the company's plans for the near future and, more importantly, what models we see in 2012.

In fact, Bugatti had already officially revealed part of its future business strategy. We know for example that the final version of the Veyron was produced in December, while it is a novelty that the new Bugatti Galibier be deployed on the name of Royale. The first Bugatti Royale was made in 1927 and can be considered to all intents and purposes the first response to the growing demand for luxury of the Roaring '20s.

In particular, between 1927 and 1933, 25 units were designed but only 6 were actually sold to the public. From the point of view of the engine, the original model was equipped with a huge 12.7-liter and it is likely that its modern reincarnation will be powered by the same V16 currently mounted on the Veyron, coupled to an electric motor and, above all, reduced to a power of about 850 hp.

The engine should also be combined with a dual-clutch gearbox. This new version of Royale, the official presentation of which should be in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bugatti provides for the production of 3,000 units in six years, each of which sold for around 1.4 million dollar.
