Porsche 550, new details on the small roadster

They come directly from Germany to new speculation about the future discovery of a small house Porsche, a model based on a '50s roadster, the Porsche 550. According to the foreign press, the leaders of the German group would need to propose a vehicle can reduce fuel consumption and emissions and for this you would be thinking of a compact model with an engine, in some ways away from the rest of the range.

The Porsche 550 was the future so a 4-cylinder boxer engine of 1.6 liter supercharged capable of providing an output of about 200 horses, to be sent to the rear wheels through a conventional manual gearbox. The compactness of the car, which should have a total weight of 1,200 kg, would also make interesting performance, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in around 6 seconds and a top speed of over 230 km / h.

Emissions would be good for a Porsche and would be favored by the presence of systems such as the Start & Stop, remaining below the 160 g / km. The entries then indicate the presence of a chassis shared with the future Audi A4 and Volkswagen Bluesport, clear indication of how small discrete ambitions would Porsche sports-related driving pleasure despite its nature of entry-level roadster.

As far as its market debut, the Porsche 550 would be expected by 2014.
