Nissan has launched the development of a new hybrid system for its front-wheel drive models. The first vehicle to benefit should be the new Altima, which is not traded on our market and it will debut during 2012. The hybrid system in question is not entirely new, but will result from that of the Infiniti M35h, a model that adopts the course rear wheel drive.
The Nissan Altima will be joined to a four-cylinder gasoline engine and a CVT type transmission.
