Mazda again reached full production capacity

Mazda has after the earthquake disaster in the northeast of the country now included in its two plants in Hiroshima and Hofu in southwestern Japan, the 850 and 940 kilometers away from the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, with passenger car production back in full. Also, overtime and extra shifts to run again at a normal level.

The company expects the current financial year to 31 March 2012 with sales amounting to 2.19 trillion yen (approximately 19.2 billion1) based on a global sales target of 1.3 million units.

This represents a slight increase over the sales figures of last year and will lead to an operating profit of 20 billion yen (175.2 million euros) and a net profit of one billion yen (around € 8.76 million). Already in May, Mazda was able to reach in two Japanese plants, which are produced up to the BT-50 pick-up all models for the European and German market, again with a production volume of 80 percent of the original planning.

However, the very limited production in recent months has still a strong licensing and market influence the result, so that Mazda has achieved its initial sales targets in Germany so far not entirely. By now back full availability and appropriate marketing and sales programs, Mazda wants to achieve in the coming months in the German market, but again a significantly higher volume and market share.
