New engines for the BMW X1

BMW introduces two new engines for the X1, a gasoline with 184 hp and one diesel whose delivery reaches 163 hp. With these new engines, German sea strengthens its commitment to efficiency. There are few who consider the BMW X1 SUV as the most efficient of the story. And now have two reasons to do so since the German manufacturer launches two new engines for this successful vehicle

The first engine we are talking about is a 2-liter turbodiesel with 163 hp and 38.38 Nm of torque. Available with rear-wheel drive system, the X1 BMW EfficientDynamics sDrive20d Edition (that's its official name) announces a consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 km and emissions of 119 grams per kilometer.

These figures make it the first SUV to avoid road tax in our country. In addition to these impressive figures, the German engineers have worked to minimize engine noise by installing a centrifugal pendulum whose mission is to balance the vibrations in the propeller. In addition, this new engine has an extra insulation, technology that will from next autumn all diesel engines in the BMW X1.

On the second motor, talk about a four-cylinder petrol and 2-liter Twin PowerTurbo 2.0 officially called, and has an output of 184 hp with maximum torque of 27.55 Nm. Unlike what happens with the new Diesel fuel option is available with either rear-wheel drive system as an all-wheel drive.

The use of rear-drive version is 7.1 liters per 100 kilometers with emissions of 165 g / km, while the X1 AWD announced spending of 7.7 l/100 km and emissions of 179 g / km. In addition, all-wheel drive version can be equipped with an automatic, which slightly improves the fuel consumption and emissions that you just gave.

In particular, we are talking about 7.6 liters per 100 km and 177 g / km. As far as performance is concerned, the rear-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds, while the AWD model uses 4 tenths of a second. Both mechanical options Spanish arrive in showrooms next fall, and will also have slight modifications in equipment.
