2011 auto market: sales fall in February

Yet another contraction for the Italian car market, which closed the month of February with a 20.5% less than the same month last year. Whereas a similar decrease in the first two months of 2011, where 325,279 new registrations fell by 20.4% over the same period in 2010 which, however, had benefited from ecoincentivi state, then ended March 31.

For this reason it is in free fall, the market share of vehicles powered "alternative": 32% in February 2010, 6% in January 2011 and 4.5% in February. Analyzing these data, released dall'Anfia (the National Association of Automotive Industries), it appears that the sector is mainly down to car sales to private individuals in 12 months decreased by 33.2% as they go well those of company cars (more than 21.2%) and rental (plus 47.7) a sign that the country could be released from a long economic crisis, despite the high cost of fuel is made to feel more and more increases - compared with 12 months ago - 11, 8% for petrol, 18% for diesel and 25% for other types of fuel.

Considering instead the cars sold in February, on the podium there are three house models Fiat Punto (all), the Panda and 500. On the other hand, the growing field of used instead, with the month of February which ended in a 408,440 transfer fee of more than 11.5% over the same month of 2010.
